A large, spacious, and inviting brewpub serving the downtown Des Moines area,
Exile Brewing Company is definitely a place to which any beer lover would gladly be exiled.

The venue is a recently reclaimed industrial building in a trendy Des Moines downtown area. There are large and comfortable dining areas both indoors and outdoors.
Décor and furnishings are attractive and relaxing.
Clientele includes a lot of young professionals, but families with young children are not a bit out of place….this is Iowa!

Food is rather predictable brewpub fare with lots of sandwiches and burgers, all done superbly by an excellent kitchen and brought ti the table quickly even when relatively full.
Beer selection is nicely varied, including trendy sours and a stellar Session IPA.
Other flagship brews include a mocha stout, a golden lager, a Bavarian wheat, and a dunkel.
Prices are really reasonable.
All in all, it's hard to imagine anyone wanting to leave Exile.
